Recommendations for guests

Calgary TELUS Convention Centre staff are committed to protecting your health, and that of those around you. Your actions are also key to reducing the spread of illness within our community.

As we welcome our community back to the Convention Centre, we are pleased to provide details about our health and safety standards.

How you can help

  • Maintain physical distance
Practicing physical distancing can help you reduce your risk by minimizing contact with others in the community.
  • Wear a face covering
As per Provincial and Municipal regulations, wear a face-covering in all indoor public spaces, including the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands frequently
Handwashing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of disease. If you are not able to wash your hands with soap and water, use hand sanitizer instead. You will find multiple hand sanitizing stations available in our facilities for our guests, employees and the public.
  • Catch your germs
Cover your moth and nose when you cough or sneeze by using the inside of your elbow or your shoulder.
  • Avoid touching your face
As well as frequently washing your hands, remember to keep your hands away from your eyes, ears, nose and mouth.
  • Practice healthy habits
Eat well, exercise daily and get enough rest to support your immune system.
  • Avoid shaking hands or touching others
Choose alternative greetings to handshakes and high fives. Instead, try a wave, namaste or bow from an appropriate distance.
  • Keep elevators empty
Avoid overcrowding by taking the stairs or escalator whenever possible. Please be mindful of current recommended occupancy loads.
  • If you’re sick, stay home
If you are experiencing fever, cough, difficulty breathing or other flu-like symptoms, stay home and away from others. Contact Health Link at 811.
